Cable UL Tipo MC XHHW-2 de cuatro o cinco conductores.
APLICACIONES:
Los cables UL tipo MC con conductores XHHW-2 se utilizan principalmente para servicios, alimentadores y circuitos derivados en aplicaciones comerciales y residenciales, de acuerdo con el NEC.
Las aplicaciones adecuadas incluyen circuitos de energía e iluminación en interiores, tanto expuestos como empotrados, instalación en bandejas portacables, canalizaciones (conduit) y empotrados en yeso o en contacto con mampostería.
El cable es apto solo para lugares secos, con una temperatura de operación que no debe exceder los 90 °C.
El cable está clasificado para una tensión nominal de 600 V.
CONSTRUCCIÓN:
Conductor: Aluminio recocido, compactado y cableado, serie AA-8000, material conductor de aluminio (ACM).
Aislamiento: Polietileno reticulado (XLPE) negro, resistente a la abrasión, humedad y calor, con franja de color para identificación.
Ensamblaje: Conjunto cableado con conductor de puesta a tierra y cinta aglutinante general.
Armadura: Armadura interbloqueada de aluminio (AlA).
IDENTIFICACIÓN DEL CONDUCTOR:
Tres conductores: Negro, negro con franja roja, negro con franja blanca
Cuatro conductores: Negro, negro con franja roja, negro con franja azul, negro con franja blanca
TENSIÓN NOMINAL: 600 V

Estos cables se fabrican y se ensayan para cumplir o superar las siguientes normas:
UL 44 - Conductores y cables con aislamiento termoestable
UL 1479 - Ensayos de fuego para sellos cortafuego en penetraciones (Fire Tests of Through-Penetration Firestops)
UL 1569 - Cables tipo metal-clad (MC)
